The Highway is the official school newspaper for James Madison High School in Brooklyn, New York. The Highway aims to deliver most honest and highest quality news for students, teachers, parents, alumni, and those outside the community about Madison.
The Highway is comprised of five different sections:
News
The News section works to discuss current events and how they affect students, Madison academic policies, and student government. As a section, it will seek to inform the student body about changes being made within Madison, and how those will affect their daily lives.
Sports
The Sports section will work to cover all things Madison Sports. This includes keeping all students up to date on how Madison sports are doing during their season. This also includes information and spotlights and players.
Opinion
The Opinion section works as a place for student voices in Madison. Here they express viewpoints, debate school policies, and discuss relevant community or national issues.
Arts & Entertainment
The Arts and Entertainment section serves as a center for Madison that highlights student creativity, school performances, and reviews of pop culture such as movies, TV shows, and music.
Features
The Features section gives readers a look into what is happening here and now at Madison. They outline both the daily life and stories from within the school community, as well as articles about teachers, students, Madison alumni, and current events that are of interest to readers.
